Looking for a way to keep your skin glowing and fresh without piling on layers of makeup? I got you! Skincare that looks like makeup is the perfect solution for those who want a natural, effortless look while still feeling polished. In this post, I’ll be sharing my favorite skincare products that can double as makeup, so you can cut back on your routine and let your skin shine through. From tinted sunscreens to blush SPFs, these multi-tasking gems will help you achieve that “no-makeup” makeup look without sacrificing your skin’s health.
Similar to the Drunk Elephant bronzing drops, this can be mixed with your moisturizer, worn under makeup, or used alone to give you a sunkissed, bronzed look. This is one of my go-to products for skincare that looks like makeup because it adds a natural glow while protecting your skin.
Benefits:
Provides environmental protection against UVA/UVB, pollution, blue light, and infrared radiation.
I’m not a huge fan of wearing foundation every day—I feel like my skin needs to breathe. Ever since I started using this tinted sunscreen daily, my skin has developed a new glow. This lightweight mineral sunscreen gives you a flawless, even skin tone with zero effort, and it’s packed with ingredients that are great for long-term skin health. Medium color coverage, Demi-Matte natural finish.
Benefits:
If you’re looking for a tinted sunscreen with slightly more coverage, the SkinBetter tone smart sunscreen is also another favorite of mine for skincare that looks like makeup! It can act as a primer under makeup, but I like to wear it in place of a light coverage foundation.
Benefits:
The skin around our eyes is one of the most delicate, thinnest areas of skin on our bodies. Because of this, it’s also the fastest to age and notice signs of aging. You want to protect this area at all costs if you want to age gracefully. This means double cleansing every night to ensure all makeup from the area is removed, be careful and cautious of eyelash serums, wearing sunglasses and hats, use high quality eye creams and of course wearing sunscreen in the area. You can never be too careful when it comes to protecting your skin, so wearing a sunscreen concealer just makes sense! It’s the ultimate solution for your eye area, giving you that concealer effect while also protecting and correcting.
Benefits:
The highest points of our face are most susceptible to getting sun damage, this includes the cheek bones. So why not combine blush and sun protection? Surely colorscience has a color for you. I even noticed they have a “bronze” color that could be used for bronzing/contouring? I haven’t tried it but it’s definitely on my list of things to try out. You get that healthy flush, plus it can be used for your cheeks, lips, and even eyelids.
Buildable lip & cheek color available in 6 shades:
The NUDESTIX blush tint with SPF is another awesome product that blends skincare and makeup. I’ve been dying to try this. It looks like they have a decent shade range for lighter skin tones, but not the most inclusive for darker skin.
Benefits:
Another area that is often forgot about, and quite literally never gets sun protection, OUR LIPS. I mean how often do you put sunscreen on your lips. Like never right? And the last thing we want is to have shriveled up, raisin lips in 10, 20 years! If you’re serious about using skincare that looks like makeup, don’t skip the lips!
It’s a nourishing treatment formulated with peptides, hyaluronic acid, and vitamin E antioxidants to hydrate, refine texture, and condition. This beautiful gloss features a subtle pop of color, plus all-mineral SPF 35 to protect the delicate skin on lips. Colors available are pink, coral, champagne, and rose.
Benefits:
This is the perfect touch-up product when you’re wearing makeup and want to reapply sunscreen throughout the day. This powder SPF fits right in your purse and helps manage any shine while protecting your skin.
Another great skincare makeup hybrid line that I trust is bareMinerals. If you’re into setting powders, bareMinerals has got you covered with this SPF-infused option. It’s another perfect example of skincare that looks like makeup, sealing in your look while giving you sun protection at the same time.
I’ve been dying to try this powder sunscreen from Jane Iredale. It’s weightless, and you can use it for face, body, or even your scalp. The flow-through vegan brush makes application super easy. This is definitely on my list of must-try products!
Incorporating skincare that looks like makeup into your routine is such a game-changer, especially if you’re looking to simplify your routine without sacrificing that fresh, polished look. Whether you’re using a tinted sunscreen, a multitasking blush, or a hydrating lip gloss with SPF, these products let your natural beauty shine through while keeping your skin protected and healthy. So, go ahead and try these hybrid gems, and enjoy glowing skin that doesn’t need a full face of makeup to look flawless!
