I know I can’t be the only one that is obsessed with aesthetic, instagrammable restaurants. If there’s not an aesthetic, I don’t want it! (I actually won’t turn down good food, but I think you know what I mean).
Buuut, most of the time when I’m looking for a restaurant, I look for something with an amazing ambiance and vibe to it. Also, I am 100% the type of person that will pay a little more just for the experience — don’t get me wrong, the food still has to be good for me to rave about it — but it’s the experience that usually draws me to a restaurant.
I moved to Phoenix about a year and a half ago and have already found tons of good restaurants worth sharing.

My favorite to this date has to be CALA Scottsdale in Oldtown. It’s named after a tiny beach cove street, Cala Road in Mallorca, that has impressive views of the Mediterranean Sea. This is an elevated dining experience that transports you straight to the Mediterranean. They have brunch parties on the weekends with DJs and a champagne cart! We went for an early dinner so we missed the party but we will definitely be going back for brunch!

This next one… YOU GUYS! First of all, who doesn’t love Mexican food? Second, this place is a whole vibe. SALT Tacos y Tequila is a Mexican restaurant with a modern twist. They have a selection of over 120 tequilas, delicious food, and a Mexican brunch with bottomless drinks for only $25 or $20 with a purchase of an entree. Bottomless drinks include mimosas, palomas, margaritas, bloody mary’s, & micheladas. Check out their website for more details and specials: https://santan.salttacosytequila.com

Mama Por Dios is a Mexican gourmet restaurant where you can celebrate every moment to the sound of live Mariachi or enjoy a shot to the DJ. We only had a couple appetizers and it was pretty overpriced in my opinion, but it was such a gorgeous restaurant and it was a lot of fun! I would recommend either making reservations or going early enough to get a spot. We got lucky and got the last two spots at the bar.

Last but not least, The Canal Club. This is probably one of the most well-known spots in Scottsdale. You probably see every Instagram influencer and blogger hitting up this spot if they’re in the area. It’s such a cute, trendy spot and a must when you’re in the area! It’s infused with the colors and comforts of 1930s Havana, with the edge and flare of New Orleans with the elegant geometry of Bauhaus, all while celebrating the desert sanctuary here in Arizona. It offers a casual, yet elegant ambiance, capitalizing on an indoor-outdoor layout, for a vibrant and comfortable atmosphere. 10/10 recommend!
This definitely won’t be my last post about good food spots in Arizona, we’ve turned into quite the foodies and love trying new places. Make sure to follow me on socials! <3
